Shou Sugi Ban is the traditional Japanese technique of charring cedar (sugi) wood. We took this art a step further and cast our version in a blend of clay, cement, and fiberglass. This indoor and outdoor lightweight planter showcases a prized, beautiful texture that is sure to intrigue. Color blotches, depressions, mold lines, and rough edges are not defects but meant to represent burnt wood. For outdoor use with winter environments, proper drainage holes are required and can be easily drilled. Changes with color are possible with age and exterior elements. Liner required for indoor use. Protect flooring beneath planters. Actual weight= ~16 lbs.
