Clearance between floor and bottom rail is about 12 inches while clearance between rails is 37 inches. Top bed requires extra-large full mattress while we recommend mattress height of 6 inches for the top bed. The top has a weight capacity of 175Lbs while the bottom has 350Lbs. Constructed for residential use only. Assembly required. This piece cant be separated into two beds.
